2008 was an exciting year for Linda. A chance comment on New Year’s Eve led to a whirlwind adventure and within six months, she had moved here from the south of England….even managing to have a baby girl on the way.
15 years later, Linda lives with her husband and 2 girls in Muckle Roe. Born in Glasgow, Linda has always been passionate about the clinical side of Optometry. A desire to help people like her gran, who suffered with eye problems as a result of diabetes, led her to complete an degree in Optometry at Glasgow Caledonian University. That focus on health has helped shape the practices values on providing the greatest care possible, whilst investing in the very best technical advances and equipment.
Linda has recently completed a course in independent prescribing allowing her to reduce the waiting times for patients to get treatment. She is currently completing a course that will enable a joint approach to Glaucoma care in conjunction with the hospital specialists.
On a day off (when she is not ferrying kids here there and everywhere), Linda likes nothing better than spending the day with her horse Prince, followed by a quick dip in the sea with some friends.
