Patient Information: Covid-19 Phase 3
We are currently able to offer all routine eyecare appointments.
We have been working hard, making changes to the practice so that things are safe for you and our staff. We have outlined some of the changes below so you know what to expect:
- If you are currently testing positive for Covid-19 or are suffering from the symptoms of Covid-19 – fever, persistent cough, loss of taste/smell – we may be unable to see you so please get in touch. We will also ask you a series of covid-19 related questions before you can enter the practice.
- Our staff will be wearing PPE in compliance with official advice. We also ask that, as we are a healthcare setting, anyone attending the practice wears an appropriate face mask/covering. Please do not wear gloves.
- We will be operating a closed door, appointment only, system for eye examinations. When you arrive for your appointment please ring the doorbell and we will attend to you as soon as we can. It is extremely important that you arrive at the time of your appointment as we will be unable to let you in any earlier.
- Please attend your appointment alone except for essential carers and parents of children under the age of 16.
- The practice has been split into specific ‘zones’ to allow for social distancing. Staff will guide you to the appropriate zone upon your arrival.
- We will be adhering to strict hygiene protocols ensuring that all equipment, frames and surfaces are disinfected between patients.
- Due to the restricted number of tests we can carry out per day it is vitally important that you let us know, as soon as possible, if you are unable to attend. We will be forced to charge for any failed appointments.
We have also recorded some short videos showing you what to expect when you come into the practice at the moment. These can be found below.
We look forward to seeing you and do not hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns or special requirements.
